In winter, the weather in various regions is getting colder and colder. In order to timely and effectively cope with the extremely cold winter weather, HEKUANG has compiled winter maintenance precautions for the wood grabbing machine for everyone's reference.
Oill selection :
1. Viscosity Grade: Choosing the appropriate viscosity for engine oil is crucial in winter. Diesel engine oil typically uses SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) grades, such as 5W-30, 10W-40, etc. The first number represents fluidity at low temperatures, like 5W, indicating better flowability in cold conditions.
2. Winter Ratings: Ensure the oil meets performance standards applicable to winter conditions. For instance, in North America, API (American Petroleum Institute) SN standard or higher applies to automobile engines. In Europe, ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers' Association) specifications also need consideration.
3. Anti-gelling Properties: Ensure the oil has good anti-gelling properties to prevent it from solidifying in extremely cold conditions. Certain oil additives can enhance anti-gelling properties, ensuring the engine starts smoothly in cold weather.
4. Environmental Conditions: Consider the climate and temperature in your area. Extremely cold regions may require lower viscosity grades to ensure smooth start-up and operation.
5. Manufacturer's Recommendations: It's best to select oil according to the vehicle manufacturer's advice. Vehicle manuals usually provide recommended oil types and specifications for different seasons.
6. Regular Changes: Regular oil changes are essential regardless of the season. Winter might impose higher stress on the engine, so ensuring the oil is in good condition is vital to protect the engine.
7. Note Expiry Dates and Storage Conditions: Ensure you purchase fresh oil and store it properly. Expired or improperly stored oil may affect its performance and reliability.
Fuel selection:
1. It is necessary to select oil products and maintenance accessories that are suitable for the local temperature according to the temperature differences in the region, and shorten the maintenance time and replace the oil products in a timely manner based on the cleanliness, aging, and deterioration of the machine oil products. Using incorrect grade of fuel will cause wax precipitation in the fuel, resulting in poor or blocked oil circuits.
2.After the fuel switch is completed, the machine is required to run at low speed for at least 5 minutes to ensure that the pipeline is completely filled with newly added fuel.
3. Replace the fuel filter according to the maintenance cycle.
4.Thoroughly clean the oil-water separator, promptly discharge impurities and water, and replace those that cannot be thoroughly cleaned.
5. Regularly clean the fuel tank and remove any sediment from its bottom.
Special attention: It is prohibited to use high sulfur and inferior fuel, otherwise it may cause abnormal wear of the fuel pump and injector, leading to DOC poisoning in the post-treatment system, accelerating PDF blockage, affecting the NOx conversion efficiency of the SCR catalyst, corroding various components of the post-treatment system, and causing abnormal vehicle malfunctions.
Key points of vehicle maintenance:
1.Adequate preheating:Before winter homework, the engine should run at low speed for 5 minutes. During the preheating process, the operator should check whether the vehicle is leaking oil or water, whether the oil warning light is off, whether the charging indicator light is off, whether the engine's sound and exhaust color are normal, and whether all parts of the machine are abnormal.
2.Pay attention to the battery's storage capacity:The lower the ambient temperature, the lower the storage capacity of the wood grabbing machine battery. The operator should pay attention to keeping the wood grabbing machine battery warm. The battery can be directly removed from the body and stored in a warm room, and then reinstalled during use; Timely clean the electrode oxide to avoid poor contact and other situations; When the equipment is parked for a long time, the battery should be removed and stored indoors as much as possible. If conditions permit, it should be actively charged regularly. When parked for a short time, unnecessary electrical equipment should be turned off, and the negative switch should be disconnected after the operation is completed.
3.Antifreeze usage and precautions:Annual inspection of antifreeze can be carried out in conjunction with seasonal maintenance; To ensure good cooling effect, it is prohibited to use natural water such as well water, river water, etc. as a substitute for antifreeze; It is recommended to replace the antifreeze every 2 years/2000 hours (whichever comes first). Different brands and models of antifreeze must not be mixed to avoid chemical reactions, precipitation, or the formation of bubbles (tap water cannot be added).
4.Water pump inspection:Some devices may experience oil emulsification after replacing the antifreeze, which may be due to the aging and failure of the water pump seal. The antifreeze enters the oil passage through the water seal and reaches the engine oil pan, causing oil emulsification. Therefore, after replacing the antifreeze, the engine oil level should be closely observed. If the oil level rises, the machine should be stopped for inspection. Generally, the method of replacing the water pump seal or water pump assembly is adopted.
5.Oil, gas, and water leakage inspection:The phenomenon of thermal expansion and contraction is more pronounced on seals in hydraulic systems, intake systems, and heat dissipation systems, especially rubber seals. When the temperature continues to be below 0 ° C, the machine will experience oil, air, and water leakage, especially when the temperature continues to approach -10 ° C. Therefore, before the equipment enters winter, a comprehensive inspection should be carried out on the three leaks of the entire machine to eliminate the three leaks and hidden dangers.
6.Electrical equipment inspection:Winter aging equipment often experiences startup difficulties, therefore, checking and replacing aging electrical circuits and components during seasonal maintenance is an essential measure to reduce startup difficulties.
